Austral Wine Merchants is an importer of high quality wines from rising South American "boutique" producers. We work closely with distributors and retailers across the US, seeking to bring these wines to consumers at reasonable prices. We strive to be recognized as the leading and reliable source of specialty wines from Argentina and Chile.

Trends in Consumer Demand:

In recent years American wine consumers have become increasingly interested in diversifying their wine purchases beyond the predictable "fighting varietals" that large wineries mass-market. There is a growing curiosity in the products of small specialty wineries from various corners of the world. Austral wine Merchants was founded to fulfill this demand. We seek out small wineries in Argentina and Chile with state of the art technology, vineyard and winemaking practices, and competitive prices.

Continuity and Consistency in Supply:

We also believe our clients' needs go well beyond identifying the next exciting new wine. For example, once consumers know the wines they like, they seek continuity in their supply and consistency in their flavors and aromas, vintage after vintage. We also work with a mail order business based out of New York. Check if you live in one of the twenty states where it is authorized to deliver wine.
